Film Visa

  1. Film Visa : Film Visa will be issued to cast and crew members of international productions and official coproductions shooting a Feature Film, TV/ Web commercial show/ series and TV/Web Reality show/ series. The permission for shooting these categories of production is granted by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MoI&B), Government of India. The proposals are accepted and process by the Film Facilitation Office (FFO). The application is to be submitted online on https://www.ffo.gov.inThe detailed step by step guide is available on the website. For further assistance please write to  ffo@nfdcindia.com

    After the shooting permission has been granted by the MoI&B, the cast and crew members of the approved project are required to apply for Film Visa.

Documents Required: –

  1. Print out of online application form signed by the applicant.
  2. Two recent color photographs with white background 08X5.08 cm (2”X2” inches), one pasted on the visa application  form and  other securely stapled  with the application.
  3. Passport in original with a minimum remaining validity of six months from the date of entry into India, with at least two blank pages. A photocopy of the first page of the passport. In case, the applicant has taken Indian visa (s) in the past, such passport (s) in original along with a photocopy of each passport should be submitted
  4. Original and copy of Mexican/ Belizean Identity Proof (for Mexico: FM-2/ FM-3; for Belize: legal residency card, in case of foreign nationals).
  5. A letter from the Company (over its official letter-head paper, and drafted in English) producing the film, stating the synopsis of the project, details of the places to be visited and the date of the visits, the crew traveling to India with roles & responsibilities, equipment to be carried to India, etc.
  6. A copy of any one of the below three documents in support of financial standing of the Company undertaking the project:
    (a) Personal Income Tax Return;
    (b) Original Bank statement for last 3 months.
  7. Original fee receipts of applicable visa fees to be paid in the respective Bank accounts of the Embassy.

Important Note –

  1. 1. Personal presence of the applicant at the Embassy is mandatory for Biometrics and/ or interview. Book your appointment here.
  2. 2. Each visa application is considered on its merits and the Embassy may seek additional documents/ information at any stage during processing of the requests. Receipt of visa application and fees by the Embassy does not guarantee issue of visa.
  3. 3. Please note that visa fees are non-refundable whether visa application is approved or rejected.

Visa Fee:
Applicable Fee is to be deposited in two different banks and the original fee payment receipts are to be submitted with the application.
