Applicants are required to come in-person to the Consular Section, Embassy of India, Mexico City from Monday to Friday between 09:30 AM to 12:30 PM, with the applications properly filled-out in advance.

1. Attestation of Power of Attorney

(i) Completed Miscellaneous services Application form dully filled, signed and pasted with a photo alongwith the system-generated Provisional Receipt.

(ii) Applicant's valid original Indian passport and a photocopy of pages containing personal particulars and Passport Officer´s observation (s), if any.

(iii) Original and copy of legal stay permit in Mexico (FM card).

(iv) Copy of proof of residential address in Mexico i.e. electricity, water, telephone bill in the name of applicant or any family member (If utility bills are in the name of owner, then copy of owner's ID is required)  OR Copy of a lease deed /rent agreement with a copy of owner’s Mexican ID.

(v) Original Letter of Employer in English, signed by the authorized signing authority of the Company addressed to the Consular Officer, Embassy of India, Mexico City,    stating date of appointment and position in the Company. In case of private business, copy of Company’s registration with SAT.

(vi) Annexure E filled up in advance & signed before Consular Officer.

(vii) Power of Attorney in duplicate.

(viii) Two photographs size (5X5 cms), in color with white Background.

NOTE: All the pages of the Power of Attorney have to be signed by the applicant, photograph must be pasted as required and signed across. POA is to be signed by the applicant before the Consular Officer. Embassy does not prescribe any specific format/type of paper for Power of Attorney document.  The same should be as per your requirements, whether plain paper or Indian Stamp Paper. The person(s) signing the Power of Attorney must present himself/herself at the Counter.

NOTE: Copies of civil documents issued by Mexican Government can be attested only after the applicant gets the documents duly notarized and apostilled by SRE. 

3. Attestation of a Commercial Document

(i) Completed Miscellaneous services Application form dully filled-up, signed and pasted with a photo alongwith the system-generated Provisional Receipt.

(ii) Applicant's valid original Indian passport and a photocopy of pages containing personal particulars and Passport Officer´s observation (s), if any.

(iii) Copy of Mexican ID of the person applying for the service.

(iv) Letter of request along with copies of registration/license of the business firm. Copy of the registration of the Company at Ministry of Finance (Alta ante el SAT)

(v) Document to be attested is to be presented in both languages (i.e. English & Spanish) in duplicate duly notarized by a Notary public in Mexico and apostilled by SRE (Original & copy).

(vi) Copy of proof of residential address in Mexico i.e. electricity, water, telephone bill in the name of applicant or any family member (If utility bills are in the name of owner, then copy of owner's ID is required)  OR Copy of a lease deed /rent agreement with a copy of l owner’s Mexican ID.

(vii) Two photographs size (5X5 cms), in color with white Background.

4. Registration of Child Birth

(i)  The birth should first be registered at the following MHA website, wherein the details/ procedure is available: https://indiancitizenshiponline.nic.in/Home2.aspx?formcode=09  OR alternatively, one may visit https://indiancitizenshiponline.nic.in/ and select 'Registration of birth of a minor child at an Indian Consulate Under section 4(1) of the Citizenship Act, 1955'.

Print-out of the filled form to be taken and signed (by both parents).

(ii) Completed Miscellaneous Services Application form duly filled-up, signed and pasted with a photo alongwith the system-generated Provisional Receipt.

(iii) Applicant's (both the parents') valid Original passport and a photocopy of pages containing personal particulars and Passport Officer´s observation(s), if any.

(iv) Original and copy of legal stay permit of parents in Mexico (FM card).

(v) Copy of proof of residential address in Mexico i.e. electricity, water, telephone bill in the name of applicant or any family member (If utility bills are in the name of owner, then copy of owner's ID is required)  OR Copy of a lease deed /rent agreement with a copy of owner’s Mexican ID.

(vi) Original Letter of Employer in English, signed by the authorized signing authority of the Company addressed to the Consular Officer, Embassy of India, Mexico City, stating date of appointment and position in the Company. In case of private business, copy of Company’s Registration with SAT.

(vii) Annexure E filled-up in advance & signed before Consular Officer.

(viii) Notarized affidavit by both the parents that the minor does not hold the passport of another country nor do the parents intend to obtain passport of another country till the child attains full age. (Affidavit given at the Embassy)

(ix) Birth Certificate issued by the Mexican Authority duly apostilled.

(x) Two photographs size (5X5 cm), in color with white Background.

5. Same-Person Certificate

(iv) Copy of proof of residential address in Mexico i.e. electricity, water, telephone bill in the name of applicant or any family member (If utility bills are in the name of owner, then copy of owner's ID is required)  OR Copy of a lease deed /rent agreement with a copy of owner’s Mexican ID.

(v) Original Letter of Employer in English, signed by the authorized signing authority of the Company addressed to the Consular Officer, Embassy of India, Mexico City, stating date of appointment and position in the Company. In case of private business, copy of Company’s Registration with SAT.

(vi) Annexure E filled-up in advance & signed before Consular Officer.

(vii) Affidavit filled up by applicant requesting the service (Affidavit given at the Embassy).

(viii) Two photographs size (5X5 cms), in color with white background.

6. Registration of Death

(i) Completed Miscellaneous services Application form dully filled-up, signed and pasted with a photo alongwith the system-generated Provisional Receipt.

(ii) Copy of passport of the informant.

(iii) Original Indian passport of the deceased, which is to be cancelled and returned to the person in charge of repatriation of the mortal remains.

(iv) Original Certificate of death apostilled by SRE.

(v) Autopsy Report.

7. Registration of Marriage (Solemnized as per Mexican Law)

In order to register the Marriage, first you have to give a 30-day notice in two Indian newspapers and after 30 days with all documents as listed below you can register you Marriage in the Embassy in Mexico.

(i) Completed Miscellaneous services Application form dully filled up, signed and pasted with a photo alongwith the system-generated Provisional Receipt.

(ii) Original and copies of passports of both Bride and Bridegroom.

(iii) Original declarations by Bride and Bridegroom in duplicate.

(iv) Original and copy of legal Residence in Mexico (FM card/INE).

(v) Copy of proof of residential address in Mexico i.e. electricity, water, telephone bill in the name of applicant or any family member (If utility bills are in the name of owner, then copy of owner's ID is required)  OR Copy of a lease deed /rent agreement with a copy of owner’s Mexican ID.

(vi) Original Letter of employer in English, signed by the authorized signing authority of the Company addressed to the Consular Officer, Embassy of India, Mexico City, stating date of appointment and position in the Company. In case of private business, copy of Company’s registration with SAT.

(vii) Two photographs each of both Bride and Bridegroom, size (5X5 cms), in color with white Background

(viii) Sworn affidavit of both stating being unmarried before the solemnization of this marriage, and stating that both have no living spouse.

(ix) Original Marriage certificate duly apostilled by Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE).

(x) Original full page of the newspapers in which the advertisements were published should be presented to Consular Officer within 30 days of submission of notice of intended marriage.

(xi) Annexure E to be filled-up and signed before Consular Officer by the Indian national.

8. Life Certifícate

(i) Completed Miscellaneous services Application form dully filled, signed and pasted with a photo alongwith the system-generated Provisional Receipt.

(ii) Applicant's valid original Indian passport and a photocopy of pages containing personal particulars and Passport Officer´s observation(s), if any.

(iii) If applicant holds a foreign nationality, copy of OCI/PIO card or Renunciation Certificate of Indian Nationality and Indian passport.

(iv) Original and copy of legal Residence in Mexico (FM card/INE).

(v) Copy of proof of residential address in Mexico i.e. electricity, water, telephone bill in the name of applicant or any family member (If utility bills are in the name of owner, then copy of owner's ID is required)  OR Copy of a lease deed /rent agreement with a copy of owner’s Mexican ID.

(vi) Copy of the Pension document.

(vii) Two photographs size (5X5 cms), in color with white Background.

9. Certificate as per Passport
