Ambassador Pankaj Sharma presents a copy of credentials to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico

Ambassador Pankaj Sharma presented a copy of credentials as Ambassador of the Republic of India to the United Mexican States on 16 February 2022 to the Director General of Protocol in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico (SRE), H.E Mrs. Martha Susana Iruegas. DG Protocol was accompanied by the Director General for Asia-Pacific, Ambassador Claudia Franco Hijuelos.

Ambassador conveyed gratitude to DG Protocol for receiving him and expressed his resolve to work together for strengthening India-Mexico bilateral relationship. DG Protocol congratulated him for his successful diplomatic career and wished him success for his tenure in Mexico. She also thanked India for the help extended to Mexico for the generous supply of doses of AstraZeneca Covid19 vaccine to combat the pandemic.

DG Asia Pacific also welcomed Ambassador to Mexico and appreciated the thriving relations between the two countries which have been characterized by frequent high-level bilateral exchanges. She also expressed strong interest of the government of Mexico in collaborating with India in healthcare and science and technology sectors.

Both DG Protocol and DG Asia Pacific recalled the successful visit of Hon’ble External Affairs Minister of India, Dr. S. Jaishankar, in September 2021 on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the consolidation of Mexican independence. The visit laid a strong foundation for further strengthening of the bilateral relations between India and Mexico.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico accredited Ambassador Pankaj Sharma as the Ambassador of India to the United Mexican States.
