Regarding carrying of satellite phones while traveling to India

Under Section 6 of the Indian Wireless Act and Section 20 of Indian Telegraph Act, carrying of satellite phones by foreign nationals (irrespective of category of passport) to India without prior approval is illegal/ unauthorized and is liable for penal action.

Please avoid carrying satellite phones while traveling to India.
